Perennial. Medicinal properties. Enormous taproot- plant does well in part shade and will produce small purple flowers in mid summer. Excellent for building compost piles, making compost tea, and food for chickens! This is one special plant! We have tried splitting ours for years, but finally bought seeds and winter sowed them next to our native perennials with great results!
